There is no end to the musical opportunities available to students at Morpeth School.  Currently there are students taking lessons for flute, clarinet, steelpans, saxophone, tenor horn, violin, trumpet, trombone, bass guitar and singing!  'Students at Morpeth really enjoy making music together,' explained Deputy Headtecher, Laura Worsley and opportunities for working together are certainly available.  Morpeth has a Show Choir (an auditioned group of singers), Gospel Choir (open to all), a Chamber Group, Beginners' Concert Band, Jazz Band (auditioned), the Steelpan Group and the highly successful Senior concert Band.

Recently students from Morpeth completed a project called 'Dreamspace' alongside the City of London Sinfonia.  This term two of the School's bands will be working with the John Bennet Band and next term, repeating least year's success, a concert will take place featuring Morpeth students with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Jazz Orchestra.  These initiatives, alongside ongoing links with Guildhall Music and Drama and the Barbican, combine to ensure that there is never a dull moment for talented musicians at Morpeth.
