"Most students need no encouragement to attend, they come for the sheer pleasure of painting and drawing."

Key Stage Four students from Raines Foundation School recently descended on Victoria Park, drawing boards in hand, ready to make preliminary sketches for tomorrow's masterpieces.  John Kilday who runs the regular sessions for outstanding artists explained, 'Most students need no encouragement to attend, they come for the sheer pleasure of painting and drawing.'

The classes are practical as well as enjoyable, whilst at the park John showed students how to set up a mobile art studio with a few simple water-colours, a brush and a medicine bottle full of water.
